  • Summary of This Role
  • Responsible for writing technical copy for various operation and maintenance manuals and technical publications. Prepares outline of contents and written text. Coordinates layout and organization of manuals and other documents. Interprets necessary data, drawings, and specifications through research and liaison with technical staff. Requires working knowledge of organization product line(s), customer requirements, purpose and structure of document, and user's level of understanding.
  • Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver a range of simple to complex technical content while demonstrating a clear understanding of multiple subjects. Responsibilities include analyzing, researching, and effectively communicating content for publication for clients and team members. Other responsibilities include providing peer reviews for authors and researching client feedback. Knowledge development, supporting colleagues, and mentoring new authors are key elements for this role.
  • Job Specific Skills and Competencies
  • We are looking for a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of authoring and publishing content. This job is a fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Core competencies include being results oriented, customer and relationship focused, an effective communicator, a critical and analytical thinker, and an excellent planner and organizer. Basic skills and knowledge required: subject matter expertise; advanced and highly proficient in multiple software products and technologies; able to dissect and transfer knowledge of complex concepts to diverse audiences.
